Do I have to be named and pictured to sell my story?
No, not always. In some circumstances a magazine might buy your story and agree to print it without identifying you. But you’ll earn more selling your story if you are named and pictured.
How much will I earn selling my story?
That depends on your story. Anything from £200 to £2000. There’s no set answer here, but we will always try and market your story to earn you the best fee.
How will I get paid for selling my story?
You’ll receive legally binding contracts confirming your fee in writing. Payment is made up to four weeks after publication of your true-life story. Payment is by cheque but bank transfer and cash can be arranged.
Will I have control over my magazine story?
Yes. We will be working on your behalf so you will undoubtedly have more control over the article than if you worked directly with the publication. Every story we sell we write and edit closely with you. You’ll even be given a read back before it’s published.
Do you charge me for selling my story?
A reputable journalist should not charge you for selling your story. We are able to provide our service free of charge because as the publications pay us a separate writers fee.
